Your Baby Week by Week by Dr Caroline Fertleman and Simone Cave

by Emma

I couldn't have done without this fantastic book with my three babies. Each week of the first six months of your baby's life, you get advice on number of feeds for breast and bottle, sleep and feed routine, introducing a bottle, numbers of wet and dirty nappies, developmental milestones, amount of crying, what is happening to mum's body, when to see the doctor and more. I found it so reassuring and easy to digest each week. The authors take a really relaxed approach to routine and explain why your baby cries in the evening for the first twelve weeks. You also get really sensible advice on sleep training.

The Wonder Weeks by Frans Plooij and Hetty van de Rijt
by: Becca

I read this baby week by week book and loved it for my first but I've also been recommended a book called The Wonder Weeks by Frans Plooij and Hetty van de Rijt by a friend and my sister who both say it's great for stages of a baby's development over the first 1.5 years. I will definitely be getting a copy for my second baby.
