I'm a little teapot short and stout,
Here is my handle and here is my spout,
When I get all steamed up hear me shout,
Tip me over and pour me out.

I'm a special teapot, yes it's true,
Here is an example of what I can do,
I can turn my handle into a spout,
Tip me over and pour me out.

This is a brilliant action song:
- stand with arms by sides
- bend knees on the word 'short'

- make yourself as wide as possible using arms on the word 'stout'
- put one hand on your hip on the word 'handle'
- stick the other arm out straight on the word 'Spout'
- shake body for being 'steamed up'
- jump up and down for 'hear me shout'
- tip body over towards spout arm for the last line of each verse
- Swap arms over in the second verse for 'I can turn my handle into a spout'

Bounce your child on your lap, put their arms into the positions suggested above and tip them sideways on the last line of each verse - they will love it!

Have a pretend tea party and pour pretend tea on the last line of each verse.
